Both integrated and built-in dishwashers are more or less permanently mounted under your kitchen counter. But while a built-in dishwasher has a handle and a contrasting front panel, an integrated dishwasher is flush with your cabinets and has a custom front panel to match.
Many built-in dishwashers are made to fit a standard cabinet opening: 24 inches wide, 24 inches deep, and 30 inches tall. At Coast Appliances, we have built-in dishwashers in many non-standard sizes so you can find one that fits your kitchen.
A built-in dishwasher must be connected to three systems in your home: electrical power, hot and cold water, and a drain. Different models have different features (delayed start, power wash, sanitizing rinse) and once you set the cycle and press “start”, they are fully automatic (until it’s time to unload the clean dishes).
Built-in dishwashers can last about 10 years, though some can last quite a bit longer. Factors such as frequency of use and maintenance history can affect a dishwasher’s life span.
Most of the big names in kitchen appliances have dishwasher models - Whirlpool, KitchenAid and Bosch, to name a few - and at Coast Appliances, we carry all those manufacturers and more. Come in to find the dishwasher that’s right for you.
